He faced the Royals last Saturday, giving up 5 runs and 5 hits in a 6-5 win. He will be going up against Luke Hochevar (2-0, 2.89), who pitched well against the Twins on Sunday, giving up 3 runs in 6 innings of a 10-5 win. But Hochevar gave up 5 walks, a trend a patient Twins lineup should continue. The Twins batters should make adjustments against Hochevar, and if they get his pitch count up, they should knock him out by the 5th inning, giving them a chance to do more damage against a suspect Royals’ pen.
